What is that "green" stuff on my house???

Most modern paints and sealants contain chemical barriers to prevent these organisms from latching onto surfaces, but with continued exposure to harsh sunlight, extreme temperatures, and frequent rain, your home's exterior surfaces become more porous, giving place for algae, mold, mildew, or moss to take root. While you might be tempted to tackle the problem yourself, professional-grade equipment is the best solution to protect your home's surfaces and safely remove the organic matter.

We all know how much pollen is released into the air during spring, but have you thought about where that pollen dust goes? If you live under the oak trees, chances are that it's settling on your home, providing a rich diet for the algae and mold to feed off. If left unattended for long periods of time, these microorganisms can actually start eating into the painted surfaces, destroying even vinyl siding.
Eco-friendly soft washing solutions can gently wash away these organisms. Regular house washing should be completed at least annually to prevent the damage to painted surfaces. For houses that are lighter creams and whites, semi-annual cleaning is recommended to keep your house bright.
What is Soft Washing?
Soft washing involves a controlled wand and water pressure unit that is highly regulated to only release a gentle spray of formulated detergents and water onto your exterior surface. The soap is allowed to process for several minutes to break down the dirt and organisms, and then a clean water rinse washes away grime and algae that have accumulated on your exterior surfaces. A properly mixed soft washing solution is prepared specifically for the type of surface being cleaned. Solutions are biodegradable and completely safe for your building exteriors .
What is Power Washing?
Power washing involves using high PSI levels of water pressure and hot water to remove dirt and stuck on grime. Power washing is best performed on concrete surfaces with a disc surface rotating nozzle to push away the dirt. This avoids the common streaks seen when only cleaning with a narrow wand nozzle. Make sure you know what your professional is using on your home, as any high pressure applied to wood, vinyl, stucco, or brick mortar could actually cause damage to your building exterior--removing paint or leaving grooves in wood or stucco.
